Introduction
On the ArcelorMittal Ghent site, ArcelorMittal Tailored Blank Ghent produces laser-welded blanks that are used in car body components.
What does the job entail?
As a Quality Manager you are responsible for the following:
- To manage internal quality to fulfill the requirements of all stakeholders (e.g. Repair and release of non-conforming product, management of the lab, certification/calibration of measurement systems, exploitation of the online inspection systems, etc.)
- To manage external quality (Customer/Supplier) to fulfill the requirements of all stakeholders (e.g. Customer claims handling, Supplier claims handling, PPAP, management of derogations, Supplier evaluations, etc.)
- To manage the AMTB audit program (process audits, product audits, system audits, 2 nd party audits, etc) to evaluate the systems and to keep them efficient and effective. To identify weaknesses in quality processes and propose solutions to remedy and implement.
- To manage the AMTB Quality Management system and guarantee IATF compliance.
- To build up a network within the AMTB group, AM automotive (CTS function), AM FCE group and supplier/customers-base to obtain a good relationship and a high degree of confidence.
- To provide horizontal support where needed when Quality is concerned (e.g regarding project management) To manage selected projects to improve on (cost of) Quality
- A master’s degree in engineering
- Strong interest in Quality
- Fluent in English and Dutch for the exchanges with stakeholders
- Fast decision making, results oriented and stress resistant Effective in communication, time management, teamwork
