Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Specialist to join our Ashland business in Europe. This person will be based at our logistics department
_ISP Freight Services) located at Scheldelaan Antwerp_. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and Logistics function. This position will report to Logistics Manager (Import/Export).

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- monitor the deliveries processors screen and create deliveries for the I &S material that need to ship and perform Goods Issue and Receipt, block damaged goods, unblock when needed and returns
- work with customer service representatives, inventory planners, other internal functions and 3PL vendors to resolves issues and expedite orders if necessary.
- go through stock to make allocations on daily basis, inform CS about incomplete or blocked orders
- follow up on expected inbound shipments out of US, specially urgently needed for outbound orders, communicate urgency to agent & tracking demurrage/ detention and validate invoices
- updating the deliveries / shipments to acknowledge confirmation of shipping
- liaising with freight forwarders regarding outbound shipments and follow up invoices, resolve discrepancies
- preparing documents required for shipping incl. scheduling filling operations
- supporting shore tank testing
- arranging ‘express shipments if requested
- lead the annual stock tacking (w2w)
- help drive improvement projects within the supply chain

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

- Education background or 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of the business process is a pre, understanding the customer service, warehouse, production and logistics processes are an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, natural curiosity, drive for efficiency

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

- Experience with SAP
