Senior Research Executive - Evaluation
Kantar Public, Brussels
At Kantar Public, we focus on delivering insight and strategy to provide better outcomes for citizens and public sector organisations around the world. Kantar Public’s research teams are experts in public policy, service design, behavioral insight and election research, employing over 500 people around the world. Our clients span all continents and include both national and local governments and supra-national organisations such as World bank, UN and the European Institutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day project and client management for our policy research and evaluation studies. This will involve project planning and research design, quality delivery and coordination of other members of the team or suppliers. The research in this portfolio covers a broad range of policy areas: social policy, digital policy, justice and consumers, humanitarian aid, communications and our range portfolio continues growing. We are looking for a person who is willing to explore different aspects of EU policy with the opportunity to specialise in specific policy areas over time.
Your missions
- Coordinating or managing medium or small sized evaluation projects through the full project cycle, from evaluation design, to data collection and analysis, through to developing conclusions and recommendations
- Contributing to evaluation proposals as part of a wider project team
- Developing research tools (e.g. questionnaires, discussion guides)
- Developing client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered to budget and timelines
- Presentation of results to clients and stakeholders
- Managing junior researchers and partners or suppliers
Your Profile
- You have a minimum of 2/3 years’ experience in evaluation research.
- You have good understanding of evaluations and ex-ante impact assessments and are familiar with EU’s Better Regulation Guidelines
- You are comfortable with a range of applied research methods (quantitative and/ or qualitative).
- Highly organised in project management
- You confidently engage with clients and support client relationships on projects
- Experience in carrying out evaluations for EU institutions
- Understanding of EU policy context in one of these areas would be an asset: digital policy, social policy (education, skills, employment, social inclusion), justice and consumers, humanitarian aid.
- Delivery/verbal presentation to clients - engaging client presentation and reporting skills
- You have strong problem-solving skills and are an excellent communicator.
- You are fluent in English. The command of other EU languages is an advantage.
- Team player, successfully developing individual and team capability.
- Experience with either of these will be considered a plus: ex-ante impact assessments, focus on efficiency evaluations - cost-effectiveness, value for money, ex-ante cost-benefit
