**Job Summary**

The Human Resources (HR) Specialist provides support and tactical implementation in the areas of Organizational Training, Performance Management, Health and Safety, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Development, Employee Relations, and Workforce Planning.

He/She provides valued solutions to management for the implementation of HR initiatives.

**_ What you’ll do_**

**Leverages Business Relationships to Achieve Goals**

**Promotes** highly effective relationships with the countries, Business Unit, business management, recruiting organizations, external customers, and peers, locally and globally, to share accountability and provide valued support for achieving business goals.

**Shares **feedback with Regional level management to communicate the effectiveness of HR processes with the service centers and HR function for the review and modification of HR processes and procedures.

**Works** with HR and business management to assist in the implementation of recognition programs and corporate programs designed to reduce turnover, impact employee retention, and reinforce UPS corporate values.

**Provides Tactical HR Support**

**Assists** management with utilizing HR tools.

**Initiate **work to support the employee engagement activities across all Business Units

**Provides Business Solutions via Human Capital**

**Provides coaching** on routine issues related to policy and procedures.

**Demonstrates** a basic knowledge base, consistent time management skills, and strong organizational skills to provide effective consultative and tactical partnerships.

**Runs Queries and Reports and Provides HR Admin and Support**

**Troubleshoots **errors from various sources to answers questions, process requests, and research system problems.

**Receives cross-departmental** ad hoc requests to resolve incoming inquiries from managers.

**Supports **various UPS departments to create, disseminate, and develop reports.

**Collects** information from various HR systems to align the employee tables in a designated format.

**Manages Talents development**

**Work **with the HRBP to help identify and understand evolving talent needs relative to the Business Unit’s objectives at the more granular district/country/function level for a BU; may help compare and reconcile to the objectives at the aggregate BU level

**Work **with the HRBP and additional HRBP Support to align on a market relevant rewards agenda for the BU’s district/country/function; may help ensure alignment with aggregate objectives at BU level

**Support** effective succession planning process (primarily for most senior leaders in the business) and help facilitate ongoing development conversations, working with the HRBP Director to identify and proactively develop the next generation of leaders

**Work **with Supervisor-level HRBPs to identify talent gaps, propose and implement changes necessary to cover risks, as directed by the HRBP Director

**Help** ensure consistent talent strategy with BU level talent strategy set by the VP-level HRBP and as directed by the HRBP Director

**_ What you’ll need_**
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree
- A first working experience
- Fluency in English for both writing and speaking. Knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- You are a curious person
- You are willing to travel and flexible
