Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.
**Mission**:
Thales Begium (Herstal site) is a world leader in precision guided rocket system for helicopters and jet aircraft and system team of its key engineering activities. In order to meet its ambitious production and product development roadmap, Thales increase team and looking for Engineering Processes Facilitator to support engineering teams management.
As Engineering Processes Facilitator (EPF), you will be familiar/deal/handle the engineering management process and R&D projects. You will manage processes and procedures and propose adjustments to create a workflow between the different engineering teams and to satisfy the different internal stakeholders. You will use and configure tools to give all teams an overview of workload, KPIs, planning, clear visibility of tasks and priorities. Four disciplines are present in Engineering (energetic materials and structures, systems, industrial methods and configuration management) with a wide range of technical expertise (energetic materials, mechanical systems, algorithms and simulations, embedded electronic hardware and software). If you are comfortable with software development tools, you will be able to help the IS/IT team meet engineering needs in line with processes.
**Main Responsibilities**:
You will be in charge of:
- Defining and implementing internal and external workflows for the engineering teams
- Developing, deploying and improving the standards (governance, processes, methods and tools) for engineering and projects management within the organization.
- Producing and analyzing data mainly related to workload, capacity management, tasks, planning, skills matrix,
- Creating dashboards, indicators to following tasks and project planning to help team players and leaders to follow priorities
- Capitalizing on best practices and proposing recommendation and improvement related to processes and/or tools.
- Generating reports and keeping Key Performance Indicators up-to-date.
- Leading the change of processes with the various actors, ensuring consistency and involvement of the concerned teams to jointly ensure the delivery of the transformation. If required, you will organize dedicated meetings with different stakeholders (put in place existing or new governance)
- Empowering people to understand and use the processes & tools. Supporting and challenging the teams with a coaching mentality
- You will report to Thales Belgium’s Head of Engineering
- In optional, if you have DevOps experiences, facilitating exchanges and interactions between software engineers, testers and IS/IT department
**Profile**:
- You have already acquired an experience as team management or (Work) project management position in R&D or engineering teams developing high technology products
- You quickly understand the workflows and blocking points to improve processes
- You are analytical, autonomous and rigorous with an ability linked to innovation
- You are able to merge data in order to present and explain them in a synthetic manner
- You have strong oral and written communication skills
- You have very good knowledge of MS Suite, tasks management tools (Jira) and documentation management tools (Confluence, sharepoint,) and project management tools (PowerBI, MS project)
- You are oriented towards AGILE processes and can use the scrum framework
- You are fluent in both French and English (read, written and spoken).
- As a plus, you have experience as devOps administrator (Jira, Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, SonarQube,)
