**About the role**:
As **Global Transportation Analyst Air & Ocean**, your role will have heavy involvement with supporting any global air and ocean RFQs (Request for Quotation). You are a key stakeholder in the end-to-end process of these RFQs. Starting from data preparations, you will enable procurement to launch the tender. You will be responsible for analyzing the inputs and provide qualitative input to facilitate re-negotiations and provide guidance for final awarding. You will also perform the aftercare and update the rate cards and being involved in the MBR / QBR.
Next to the structural global tenders, you will also perform spot quote management, new lane management and run mini tenders.
As the global transportation spend Air and Sea is $330m, measuring the performance of our RFQ activities is key. Therefore you will provide input to our global dashboard to track procurement KPIs (e.g rate adherence, award adherence, savings tracker). You will also closely supervise the competitiveness of our contracted rates by performing monthly benchmark exercises against the market prices (BMC / Xeneta). This will enable you to build logistics cost reports.
On mid-term you will be involved in streamlining the sourcing process by implementing a sourcing system.
Key stakeholders are both Global & Regional Transport Operations teams and the Procurement team.
**Main responsibilities will include**:
- Prepare, analyze and provide mentorship for Global Air & Ocean RFQs
- Rate card maintenance
- Spot quote management

- Running mini tenders
- RFQ Performance management
- Market benchmark analysis
- Continuous improvement of the RFQ / sourcing process
- Logistics cost reporting
**About you**:
You combine your passion for supply chain logistics with your analytical skills. The role demands emphasis on data management and freight spend analytics. Therefore you are familiar in working with SAP, Transport Management Systems, bid management tools, freight audit and payment systems.
As you will work in a global environment, you find easily your way in a dynamic, sophisticated multinational with collaborators from different regions and cultures.
You are able to work in a structured way and are in control of the activities you are responsible for by meeting the strict RFQ deadlines and measuring metric
- Strong analytical skills and financial competence
- System familiarity and skills desired: Advance skills in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Macro creation, Powerpoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Other systems: SAP ECC 6.0, JDE ERP, TMS system
- Dashboard creation for KPIs, other metrics
- Ability to work on RFQ projects across regions in a diverse, highly matrixed, multi-cultural environment.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good time management with a high delivery quality
- Tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to solve sophisticated problems.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a concentration in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering or Economics.
**Other requirements**:
- Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel as needed
