Job Scope
As a General Ledger (GL) Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining general ledger entries and reconciling financial statements. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the ledger data is accurate and precise.
Ideally, you should be working in collaboration with the various departments for accounting data. In addition to this, you should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Prior working experience as a GL Accountant is required for this position.
The GLA will report to HOA and work closely with accountant but also with CEO, Finance Manager, Service Manager, Sales manager & Back office.
Key
**Responsibilities**:
Preparing and managing general ledger entries.
Reconciling financial statements.
Ensuring precise data entry.
Entering financial data in deferrals, accruals, and reclassifications.
Reviewing cash deposits and preparing cash receipt journal entries.
Interpreting and analysing financial information.
Posting journal entries in the accounting system.
Tracking fixed asset ledger.
Reporting any fluctuations and variances.
Working in compliance with government regulations.
Adhering to accounting standards and regulations.
Staying updated with the best practices in accounting.
Perform ad hoc projects as needed
Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Bachelor in accounting
Minimum five years of accounting experience
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, proactive, resistant to stress, accountable
Capacity to integrate in existing team and company culture.
Capacity to adapt to new situations with flexibility.
Resistant to change and innovation.
Namely to integrate into an existing team and communicate with the management and different functions in organization.
Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software (SAP, Oracle, )
Strong experience with Office mainly in Excel
**Language**: French/Dutch - English mandatory
