**benerail is the Leading Railway Retail Expert in Europe**
Our organization enables railway companies and railway distributors to sell international railway tickets across Europe. Regardless of which inventory systems are needed to provide the tickets. Benerail makes this possible by connecting the different ticket inventory systems together and delivering this as a service to the market via our smart API solutions. The API is accompanied by supportive services like product data management, consultancy and end to end testing services. In this way we reduce complexity for our customers, so they can focus fully on optimizing the service to the travellers and making the choice for international railway travel easy for the traveller.

Benerail has the mission of maximising the total number of travelled kilometres for all travellers via the benerail IT systems at the lowest cost to our customers, helping the railway industry to become the most environmentally friendly and competitive means of transport. We believe we do this best by a product differentiation strategy to fit best to the needs of our main customers.
As our organisation only recently made the switch to a profit-oriented way of working, you will become part of a new and vibrant commercial team. As such, your function still needs to be further developed, and you get the opportunity to bring in your own way of working and optimization ideas.
The team works together in an agile set-up, in which we work together, align via stand-up meetings (2x/week) and keep an overall overview via a quarterly planning. As a team, we share our knowledge, support each other across the different functions, have fun and focus on continuous improvement. Work is about 75% from home, but flexible to travel by train to Amsterdam/Antwerp/Brussels.

We are looking for a dynamic marketer who masters the total spectrum of marketing, from branding to conversion, using online technology and tools.
**branding**
benerail is a well-known brand within the European rail distribution software market, mainly among railway undertakings. We want to increase our brand awareness among a larger group and other customer segments in the market. Our expertise and value proposition, distribution as a service, should become an authority in the European train world.
**online marketing**
Realizes in a cost-efficient way traffic to the website - or other touchpoints - through inbound campaigns, with the goal to generate leads. This should be relevant traffic, meaning focusing on our target customers (purchasers, decision makers and users) that hold interest in the products and services of benerail.
This involves among other things search (Search Engine Marketing), SEO (Search Engine Optimization), data and dashboarding.
**conversion optimization**
The objective of this role is to convert the website visitors. This can be a purchase in the web/API store, but also a subscription for the newsletter, signing up for a webinar, reading a blog, etc. The focus is developing a visitor via a lead to a prospect; someone who is ready to be approached by sales. The online marketer has regular contact with the web agency and also knows his way around the CMS (customer management system). Small tests are regularly performed and analyzed in order to continuously develop the website and its design.
**(online) content generation**
The online marketer coordinates that the right content is produced in order to be in contact with the target group at the right time and through the right channel, and as such keep the leads warm. This part of the function still needs to be developed in an agile manner, which is also part of the role.
First steps have been taken with the set-up of Active Campaign as a CRM and marketing automation tool. Additionally, the Online Marketer will work a lot with Google analytics, Google Tag Manager, Active Campaign, etc.
**management of campaigns incl. external communication**
The objective is the set-up of outbound campaigns: eg. Social media campaigns on LinkedIn, offline marketing campaigns, organization & attendance of customer events, (external) campaigns focussing on the launch of a new product,These activities are focused on the target group to maximize leads. This also includes the market support activities.
**communication**
There will be a new team member focusing on internal communication (and sales suport). Your knowledge and expertise in communication (e.g., set-up of communication plans, usage of media,) can be requested to help mature this function.
Functie vereisten
- Bachelor or master degree preferably in marketing, communication or economics (or equivalent experience)
- Affinity with setting-up and maintaining marketing campaigns
- Able to use business intelligence and data to make (market) analysis and propose recommendations
