**Skills, knowledge, experience required**:

- Experienced system engineer with proven Level 2 support roles in a multinational and/or military organization, with a minimum of 5 years in various roles (Windows Server Administration, Windows Client Administration, Active Directory Administration, Network Administration, Storage Solutions Specialist, Virtualization, IIS Web Hosting, Linux Hosting, Linux Administration);
- Experience in remote server administration;
- Experience in MS SQL scripting, ensuring data consistency and cleanup based on consultation with the user community and development team;
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Hardware and software configuration expertise in Server hosting platforms, custom disk configurations with specific storage controllers, RAID configuration, and redundancy and safety approach at all levels of solution design and implementation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and backup policies;
- Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs);
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and/or Python;
- Competence in XML file manipulation, XSDs validation and maintenance, and automation through PowerShell/scripting;
- Strong virtualization skills, preferably on VMware with System Center integration.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in NATO, FAS support, software lifecycle support, knowledge of NATO policies and process;
- Knowledge of NATO FASes constitute and advantage.

**Duties/role**:

- Providing timely response and resolution to all support tickets (incidents, service requests, and changes) following the internal processes;
- Escalating issues to the level 3 support team as appropriate, supporting in the troubleshooting and debugging of found issues;
- Involving in User Acceptance Testing for new software releases in both organizing and test execution;
- Participating in NRF/Enterprise CABs as needed to support new software releases in the validation and verification process;
- Providing support in maintaining the NATO Software Factory infrastructure, user and rights management, software updates, and internal activities;
- Becoming a reliable Level 2 support team member and providing the engineering bridge between the Level 2 and Level 3 support teams;
- Ensuring the NATO Software Factory system setup matches the requirements for the Intel-FS Spiral 1 to Spiral 2 data migration;
- Providing other daily Level 2 support for the operational users, as required;
- Making suggestions and proactive improvements based on gathered experience and best practices.
