**The Warehouse Employee prepares cargo “ready for carriage” on export side. His/her tasks include labeling, weighing and measuring the cargo, loading/unloading trucks and bringing the cargo to the correct location in the warehouse or delivering it to the correct airline.**

**On import side, he/she picks up the cargo from the airlines to bring it to BDP’s warehouse, breakdown pallets and bring the cargo to the correct location in the warehouse.**

**Loading & unloading of trucks.**

**All in accordance with the safety and security regulations within BDP and according to the “regulated agent” requirements.**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- loading/unloading of trucks.
- manipulation of cargo : breakdown + building pallets, labeling, weighing & measuring cargo, including dangerous goods.
- reading and correctly understanding the paperwork : handovers from the airlines, CMR, ADR certificates, etc
- delivering/picking up the cargo to/from the airlines by truck, handover the paperwork to customs and handling agents, prior to departure of the flight, within the requested timeframes. (according to set standards of the airlines)
- Performs other job-related duties and functions as required.

**OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Keep clean, safe & secure warehouse. (according to BDP’s rules and standards)
- Weekly / monthly stock count.
- Attends trainings related to the job, such as ADR & security trainings.
- Evaluation of suppliers (truckers, subcontracted warehouse people, etc ) : monthly reporting to Management

**Job Requirements**:
Experience: Person must be minimum 18 years & have driving License C. No experience required, but must have willingness to learn and follow trainings.

Education: Secondary School diploma

Knowledge/Technical Skills: Dutch and/or French speaking. Other languages are a plus. Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting following paperwork : arrival notifications, handovers, CMR, AWB.
Organizational talent, being able to prioritize tasks. Dangerous goods knowledge is a big plus.

Certifications/Licensures: Diploma Secondary School and driving license C are required. Certificate to drive forklift is preferred too. Dangerous goods knowledge (or willingness to follow trainings in that segment)

Personal Traits: Teamplayer, Immune to stress, being able to work independable, entrepreneur, pro-active, customer-service minded.

Hours of Work: From 08h30 till 17h00. Overtime or weekend work on occasional basis, and by mutual agreement with Branch Manager and Warehouse team colleagues.
