For our nextgrid business unit at our office in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we are looking for a **H2/CO2 Infrastructure Business Development Officer** (M/F/x).
Fluxys' nextgrid business unit develops decarbonisation solutions and advances infrastructure for the transmission and import of low-carbone molecules, such as hydrogen or ammonia and captured carbon. By building on Fluxys' unique strengths and long-standing expertise, we are accelerating the transition to a greener future. Our mission is to make Belgium a European hub for low-carbon molecules. We are driven by innovation and our positive impact on tomorrow's energy landscape.

**purpose***:
Your mission is to generate new sustainable revenues from gas and energy products, such as hydrogen, carbon dioxide and other sustainable energy carriers. You will develop sustainable business activities, projects and partnerships in Belgium and Europe, creating value for European industry, Fluxys and its stakeholders.
You will report to the nextgrid Head of Business Development.

**Your**
**responsibilities***:
- Business Origination and Development
- Identify profitable business development opportunities that will contribute to Fluxys' continued growth, helping to define its long-term vision and strategy
- On the basis of an in-depth market analysis, convert ideas into mature concepts and marketable value propositions, assessing their strategic importance and potential technical, commercial and organisational impacts
- For mature and promising concepts, move on to the project scoping and structuring phase, including planning and setting up of project governance
- Establish solid relationships with external stakeholders (partners, customers, authorities, etc.) to create a favourable ecosystem for business development
- Project Management
- Develop and lead the implementation of the service offering, converting opportunities into effective value creation
- Coordinate and inspire cross-functional project teams made up of internal stakeholders and experts as well as external partners
- Develop business plans, identify opportunities and risks, and elaborate mitigation measures
- Prepare the internal decision-making process by providing key information in a timely manner
- Initiate and structure key contracts, such as cooperation, joint development and shareholding agreements
- Monitor the progress of projects and manage the work plan, resources and budget
- Organise the integration of projects into the commercial activities of Fluxys and its subsidiaries, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to the operational phase
- Serving as a Fluxys Ambassador
- Promote Fluxys as a key player in the energy transition, adding value by providing infrastructure-based solutions
**About**
**you***:
- Master’s degree in engineering sciences, business engineering, management or a related field
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in business development or industrial project management
- Strong analytical thinking skills
- Proven ability to manage innovative projects independently, from initial idea to final implementation
- Strong entrepreneurial skills, proactivity and drive for results
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and manage uncertainty
- Strong team spirit
- Good command of Dutch and/or French and of English
