**Job**
**purpose**:
Drive Fluxys’ growth and expansion strategy by creating and pursuing business development opportunities, establishing strategic alliances and long-term partnerships and leading and coordinating M&A transactions from start to completion to ensure the group’s competitive position in the Energy Transition.

**Your**
**responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement Fluxys’ growth strategy in Europe and outside Europe
- Act as a key player in the long-term business success of the group by supporting the CCO and Business Development Director and advising executive management in the development and execution of the growth strategy
- Implement the strategy and translate it into annual objectives, guidelines, frameworks and projects for the Business Development department
- Lead the Business Development team
- Manage and guide the business development team, inspire and develop talent. Ensure effective management of human, financial and technical resources
- Lead M&A transactions and Business Development projects (including green molecules and CO2)
- Drive growth in Fluxys’ core markets through origination and commercial development (greenfield and brownfield), structuring and closing projects (shareholder agreements, share & purchase agreements, project financing, etc.)
- Identify and evaluate potential strategic partnerships and business opportunities across the broad spectrum of Fluxys’ infrastructure activities
- Assess the strategic implications of investment projects and M&A operations. Present and advocate investment projects to management and facilitate the decision-making process by performing due diligence and developing strategic rationales, including risk analysis and sound business cases
- Establish and maintain successful relationships and effective collaboration with key stakeholders (executive management, external counterparts, business partners, external advisors and authorities), negotiate with counterparts and develop the right influencing strategies
- Develop Business intelligence
- Manage knowledge of global market trends and develop relevant internal and external information channels to optimize the identification of potential business opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement
- Increase organizational effectiveness by developing best practices and improvement proposals with a cross-functional view

- Master’s degree
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in industrial business development and/or Mergers & Acquisitions, preferably in the energy industry
- Proven experience in leading a team
- Strong executive level stakeholder management skill
- Excellent communication and strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional context with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and results-orientation
- Strong sense of personal ethics and integrity
- Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Willingness to travel frequently in Europe and outside Europe
- Excellent command of Dutch and/or French and English
