**JOUW OPDRACHT**
- IPI is op zoek naar een gekwalificeerde en gemotiveerde senior onderzoeker om te werken aan computer vision onderwerpen waaronder sensor fusie en active vision.
- Je zal samenwerken met internationale industriële partners terwijl je ingebed bent in een universitair onderzoeksteam dat internationaal erkend is voor zijn uitgebreide expertise met betrekking tot sensorfusie voor autonoom rijden, verkeersmonitoring en industriële veiligheid.
**JOUW PROFIEL**
- Je hebt mínimaal een diploma van Master (bijv. Master of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Wiskunde, Informatica, Elektrotechniek of vergelijkbaar) met aantoonbare eersteklas prestaties (bijv. uitstekende cijfers, scriptieresultaten of publicaties), met een sterke voorkeur voor doctoraatsstudenten die bijna aan het eind van hun proefschrift zijn, of je hebt onlangs je PhD behaald.
- Je hebt aantoonbaar uitgebreide ervaring met en kennis van de volgende onderwerpen:
- Een sterke achtergrondkennis van de fundamentele theorie die ten grondslag ligt aan sensorfusie, computer vision en gerelateerde onderwerpen (inclusief de wiskundige en waarschijnlijkheidstheoretische gerelateerde aspecten) - zoals blijkt uit publicaties of andere onderzoeksprestaties - is belangrijk
- Sensorfusie: cameranetwerken en het samenvoegen van gegevens van meerdere sensoren (sensorfusie van RGB-camera's, thermische camera's, radar, etc.) voor verbeterde objectdetectie en -classificatie, modellen voor het volgen van bewegingen en dieptedetectie
- Andere vereisten:
- Programmeervaardigheden (Python, C++, enz.)
- Vlot Engels, zowel gesproken als geschreven
- Ervaring met het ontwerpen van originele algoritmen die verder gaan dan alleen het toepassen van methoden uit de literatuur is belangrijk.
- Expertise met (Deep) neurale netwerken, (on-)supervised learning, decision trees, dimensionaliteitsreductie, overfitting, etc.
- Grondbeginselen van waarschijnlijkheid en statistiek
**ONS AANBOD**
- Wij bieden je een contract van bepaalde tijd voor een periode van 21/9/2024 - 20/9/2025.
- De indiensttreding kan ten vroegste vanaf 21/09/2024.
