**What does this job entail?**:
Information security within an international organisation like KBC Group is an intriguing world; constantly evolving and of utmost importance, both for our organisation and for our customers. Within the Group Information Security Office - the team that defines and implements the information security strategy - you will be presented with **a unique job with challenges and impact**.
There are always many unknown factors within risk management. To understand where risks come from and how we can prevent them, it is not only important to bring the right people to the table, but also to **create a constructive interaction between the experts and the managers of all KBC entities**. As Information Security Officer for KBC Group, you play a** key role** in this.
**You help to organise and manage the Global IT Committee**. That’s the most important security governance body of KBC Group. This way you get to know the security architecture, the tools, the people and the challenges our entities are facing. Every day you work closely with CIOs, information security architects, cyber experts and with your colleagues from Group Risk.

**What do we expect from you?**:
- You** organise committees and communities** so that we can reach a consistent level in terms of information security within KBC Group. In the long run, you also **take part in discussions** with security architects and experts.
- You bring structure to the reporting and follow-up. This way, **managers can make informed decisions** and we can achieve concrete goals.
- Gradually, you deepen your knowledge of cybersecurity and learn to know the security architecture of KBC Group. A **mentor **will guide you in this.
- You **build a network** within KBC Group. Through daily contact with senior managers, you learn about the challenges within the financial sector and get inspired.
**Your key strengths?**:
- You look forward to learning a lot and building on the foundation you have acquired through **relevant experience or a university degree**. Do you have a professional certification such as CISSP or CISM? Even better. It is not a must, but certainly an added value.
- You communicate fluently, clearly and convincingly in **English**, both orally and in writing. That is essential to work well with others and achieve goals.
- Is certain information sensitive or confidential? You have sensed it and handle it in the right way.
- You take initiative and know how to organise your own work efficiently.** Planning and coordinating tasks**? No problem for you.
