Regional Sales Director

Lead & manage the EMEA Sales team budgeted sales revenue and gross margin. Lead, train & develop the sales team, and take directional involvement with major key accounts, ensuring the appropriate services are delivered to all customers on time in full to maximize customer profitability and retention.
Drive the sales pipeline activity via full utilisation and tracking of key KPI’s
Contribute to the development of NSF Food global sales & marketing and business development strategies as an active member of the Regional Management Team.
Achieve client service level expectations and requirements by meeting defined KPI’s and targets, led by client relationship/BU managers/Consultants, ensuring OTIF satisfaction is evident with the services provided but also utilizing the client facing resources of the team to gain & feedback insight into customer needs and concerns driving the RETAIN/EXPAND model for revenue/GM/DI growth.
- Build, manage and maintain a high performing, motivated and trustworthy EMEA sales team
- Take part into development of EMEA strategic & key account & strategic prospect growth plans
- Support and contribute information to submit service delivery cost forecasts, operational improvement strategies & budgets to the BU Sr. Director.
- Ensure opportunity management capacities are prioritized to enable growth, business development and strategic customer business expansion/retention to take priority.
- Complete annual development and performance plans for all sales staff and conduct regular reviews with all to ensure projected sales revenues, EBITDA & DI plans are delivered.
- Develop and implement profitable plans and channels into new market categories within the region.
- Work closely with the Sales Managers to scrutinize the sales process and identify & prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Working closely with Sales Ops & constantly track sales pipeline development and optimize the process of moving leads through the sales cycle to closed/won status.
- Work with Marketing to ensure the correct key messaging is delivered to each category/market segment to optimize lead generation, customer profitability and retention.
- Manage all sales and sales support costs within budgeted levels
- Ensure employees operate in a safe & respectful manner in line with legislation, work health and safety requirements including company policies and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant policies & procedures.
- Support preparation for forecasts and annual budget, to gain approval direction
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties/projects as maybe required from time to time.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself/herself and the team members
Qualifications: Higher Degree preferred, in Food Science and/or business management and in-depth knowledge and experience in food safety & supply chain standards
Fluency in English, any other European language is an asset
Successful track record (demonstrable over a sustained period) in a result driven strategic leadership management role within the Commercial, Sales, Marketing or Technical functions with EU Team (14 people), including selecting and developing talent, building trust, coaching team members, managing performance resulting in high performing teams and developing other leaders.
Solid experience in Sales
Used to working in a complex matrix organization with high levels of collaboration
High degree of respect, integrity, and trust
Ability to think through problems and manage conflict /difficult situations strong operational management skills
Understand customer technical needs and deliver customer-centric solutions aligned with the mission and goals
Excellent communicator
Strong negotiation skills
Demonstrable Sales Planning & Prospecting skills
Positive and solution oriented
Keen eye for detail and problem solving/analysis when needed.
High emotional intelligence, ability to build rapport and client relationship
Willing to travel across EU/EMEA
