POLITICO is looking for a motivated **Accounting Intern** to join its dynamic **Finance team**. This is a full-time internship based at POLITICO Europe Headquarter in Brussels.

POLITICO is a pioneering and growing media company that covers the politics, policy and personalities of Europe.

**What You’ll Do**

In this role, you'll be utilizing your technical accounting expertise to provide the following tasks:

- Help in the entire sales invoice process
- Check purchases invoices for additional or missing data
- Prepare the answer for the client concerning any billing questions that clients might have
- Handle any special billing situations
- Perform general bookkeeping duties like the booking of expense note, recording bank statements, booking of purchases invoices, and reconciling accounts
- Generate financial reports and statements that detail the status of accounts receivable

**What You’ll Need**
- Ongoing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- High level of computer literacy (MS office)
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent French and professional English
- Pro-active attitude, organization, dynamism and accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and in a team

**Important Internship Details**

Internships generally last three to four months. This position is only available for student training as part of university or graduate coursework. Please note that as per Belgian regulations, internships that are part of university or graduate coursework cannot be paid, however, compensation toward lunch and transport to the office is provided.
