For a rapidly growing & dynamic biotech company, we are looking for a **General Ledger Accountant (M/F/x)** to join the finance team of the Belgium-based Headquarters in Ghent.

You will report to the** Accounting Manager.**

**Your main tasks will be**:

- Timely and accurate execution of the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting closing process;
- Ensure precise accrual processing in our project module;
- Participate or lead projects impacting accounting;
- Continuous focus on E2E process improvements;
- Being a SPOC/key contact for the accounting team;
- Coordinate the preparation of the statutory financial statements and indirect tax filings;
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders, internal and external audit;
- Ensure company policies and procedures are respected;
- Execute ad hoc tasks and analysis.

**Profile**:

- Advanced degree in Accounting/Economics;
- Three years+ of working experience in accounting;
- Experience within the biotech or pharma industry is a plus;
- Analytical and critical mind, structured and efficient;
- Experience in working with an ERP system and experience with Oracle Cloud is a plus;
- Knowledge of IFRS principles;
- Fluent in English;
- You excel in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment;
- Hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines;
- Collaborative work style with the ability to interface with all levels of staff and management, both internally and externally.
