**Department Info**:
This position is part of the Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS) Business Unit, within Terumo Europe. At Terumo Interventional Systems, we constantly work to refine and perfect our products so that interventionalists can do more. The portfolio comprises solutions to access and treat coronary and peripheral disease, as well as innovative therapeutic solution for cancer patients.
The Market Access department is part of the Sales & Marketing organisation, reporting directly to the SVP TIS EMEA. It is a pioneering department in the company, with a solid track-record already and great opportunities to bring innovative ideas and projects.
**Job Summary**:
You are an excellent communicator, able to work across functions and silos and build bridges. You are expert in expressing the “why” of a project. You are a good listener to colleagues and challenges faced in our market access and can think creatively to find ideas and solutions.
**Responsibilities**:
Lead the development and execution of the UK/I market access strategies to support premium reimbursement/funding and patient access for the TIS portfolio in the NHS
Partner with EMEA Market Access and country/EMEA marketing to develop value-added health economics tools to facilitate therapy adoption and market creation
Data Stewardship - Through analysis and synthesis of various data sources (esp NHS data), provide relevant actionable insights to the business, in particular for new technologies
Identify and develop value-based procurement solutions for economic customers.
Work with clinical and medical teams at EMEA level to ensure health economics and outcomes research needs are incorporated into clinical studies
Collaborate with physician key opinion leaders on the development of economic abstracts and publications to support TIS key technologies.
Regarded as the in-house expert, develop and execute training for sales, marketing, and cross-functional colleagues
Advise local and EMEA management on implications of local reimbursement or legislative changes that may affect adoption or funding
Build relationships with key stakeholders: government, physicians, hospital, Patient Associations and third-party payer decision makers
Represent TIS at Industry Association and take an active role in coordinating all the Terumo entities voice in ABHI and - eventually - with other Government and/or senior NHS stakeholders
Establish local processes, such as best practice sharing, that: a) support local teams, b) build an institutional memory, and c) grow Market Access as a core business partner
**Profile Description**:
You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the UK or EMEA in the following areas: Industry/consultancy/payer. Experience in the device/diagnostic space or the Pharma Industry (especially in oncology) is a significant advantage
You have excellent technical skills in health economics and UK market access (coding/reimbursement, NICE processes, NHS landscape)
Formal training in health economics, public health, health services research, policy analysis, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration or related discipline preferred.
