Business Finance Manager, Edelman Global Advisory

Edelman Global Advisory is a newly launched standalone international advisory firm within the Edelman network that owns the firm’s public affairs work. We have rebranded public affairs to advisory to better capture the evolution and future of this sector. Advisory services combine business strategy, government affairs, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and political risk analysis to help clients navigate changing political dynamics. Our mission is to build trust in today’s evolving geopolitical environment.
Joining the EGA team will provide team members with the opportunity to be involved in the building of this new firm from creating a new culture, to redefining public affairs services, to exploring new services, such as data analytics and political risk analysis. We view ourselves as a start-up built on top of one of the world’s most recognizable brands.

- The Business Finance Manager is a member of the Finance Team and reports to the Finance Director of the Edelman Brussels office.
- The Business Finance Manager is a business partner to the project managers, client leaders and accounts teams providing support on the administrative and financial management of their clients and overall business.
- The Business Finance Manager complies with company policies and procedures including ethics policies and revenue recognition
- The Business Finance Manager endorses the Edelman values such as quality, integrity, respect, entrepreneurial spirit, mutual benefits.

**Responsibilities**:

**_ Project Management_**
- Assist Account Teams in pricing large client proposals and developing client budgets,
- Assist in managing letter of intent, NDA, client contract process.
- Ensure that projects are managed in accordance with contracts.
- Assist with project budget tracking.
- Identify and communicate areas of concern and work with Account Staff to reach targeted metrics.
- Review monthly fees and client expenses and third-party costs.
- Facilitate monthly billing by ensuring accurate, timely client contract set up data and analysis for the shared services billing team.
- Communicate on an ad hoc basis with clients regarding budget, billing and accounts receivable issues.
- Work with account teams on revenue analysis and project audits,
- Assist in reviewing management reports, including Missing Time, Utilization, (Over)/Under Service and Client Profitability.
- Help drive profitability by working with account teams to improve client and resource management.
**_Financial management_**
- Provide accurate financial information to Client Management teams and Finance Director as required.
- Set up clients and projects in the ETP system.
- Issue Services Orders between the different entities of the group.
- Develop fee budgets, projections and forecasts.
- Work with Finance to ensure accurate financial statements.

Administration and Operations_**
- Assist in Account Staff training on internal systems, procedures and project management skills.
- Ensure Account Staff compliance with company policies including ethics policies, revenue recognition, job requisitions, time entry, travel and expense policies, billing and accounts payable
- Contribute to performance appraisal process for peers and managers.
- Engage in team building activities.
**_ Preferred knowledge and skills_**
- Proven experience of 4+ years of accounting/ financial management in the service industry.
- Public relations/Marketing Communications industry experience is preferred.
- Team player attitude
- Strong work ethic.
- Problems solver.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus.
