NATO CIS Group is looking for Staff Officer (Training) responsible for planning and execution of training for NATO CIS Group staff & units and coordinating training of subordinate Battalions with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the development or analysis of training programs. If you have experience with the principles, policies, and procedures of education and training programs, you are familiarise with training techniques and instruction methods, general learning process, curriculum development, and training evaluation, this post is for you.
**GENERAL BACKGROUND:
The NATO CIS Group conducts CIS operational planning and provides deployed/deployable CIS services and support in support of NATO military operations and exercises. The NATO CIS Group is located at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) the Headquarters of Allied Command Operations (ACO), one of the two major military commands of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO).

**Post Context**
The J7 Division is responsible for planning and coordination Communications and Information Systems training requirements within NATO Communications and Information Systems Group (NCISG) and it is also in charge of development, planning and execution of NCISG Readiness Evaluation/Certification process and Lessons Learned process.
The Training Management Branch (TRM) serves as the main coordinator between NATO Communications and Information Systems Group training requesters and the training providers. That also include pre-deployment training for military and civilians belonging to NCISG. Dealing with individual training, TRM is responsible for defining, following and executing a tailored budget dedicated for the overall NCISG personnel.
The incumbent is responsible for planning and execution of training for NATO CIS Group staff & units, coordinating training of subordinate Battalions.
**Reporting Lines**
This post reports to: OCG TTXX 0010 - Branch Head (Training Management), OF-4.
This post deputizes for the Training Branch Head (OCG TTXX 0010).
**Principal Duties**
The incumbent's duties are:
- Analyse and execute the direction from the Branch Head.
- Control the delivery/execution of training and assure high level quality of training is provide.
- Prepare the evaluation of training programs within NCISG and identify deficiencies.
- Develop Guides, Concepts and Directives for Individual training.
- Monitor the implementation of regulations and directives of Individual training.
- Support the Branch in new training initiatives (Workshop, Conferences).
- Monitor the progress of quarterly/annual requirements and their fulfillment.
- Coordinate Warning Orders, Tasking Orders and prepare for further approval.
- Advise NCISG staff on shortfalls of training in direct support of exercises.
- Brief on the status of delivery/execution level of training.
- Analyse and establish the lessons learned of the Training Branch.
- Act as a POC/Quality Manager for CIS related Courses and Training and advice the Branch on possible improvements.
- Interact with training main stakeholders like NCIA, NSO, who are responsible to provide training.
- Analyse and monitor the DODCP training requirements and establish/co-ordinate a long-term plan on needed training.
**Special Requirements and Additional Duties**
The incumbent may be required to perform like duties elsewhere within the organization as directed.
The incumbent is also required to undertake operation deployments and/or TDY assignments both within and without NATO's boundaries. Mandatory Deployment Post.
The incumbent may be required to undertake deployments in support of military operations and exercises, and/or TDY assignments, both within and outside NATO boundaries. Such operational deployment may exceed 30 days’ duration up to 183 days in any period of 547 days and may be on short notice.
The work is normally performed in a Normal NATO office working environment.

**Essential Qualifications**
**a. Professional/Experience**
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the development or analysis of training programs.
- Knowledge of/experience with the principles, policies, and procedures of education and training programs.
- Knowledge of/experience with training techniques and instruction methods.
- Knowledge of/experience with task/function analysis procedures.
- Knowledge of/experience with the general learning process, curriculum development, and/or training evaluations.
**b. Education/Training**
University Degree and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
