**Main tasks**
As Quality Manager for the region Belgium, Netherlands and Germany; you are responsible for leading the cluster quality team, delivering the quality strategy for the cluster and ensuring that our malting sites and products meet the highest standards for quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- You ensure effective deployment of Group’s Quality, food and feed safety policy.
- You implement, monitor and maintain quality procedures, certifications and support audits and certifications on quality systems.
- You implement and monitor the KPI’s to measure the quality performance (malt and barley) towards the company and the customers and undertake the roots cause analysis in case of failure to carry out any corrective actions plan.
- You will work to raise the profile of quality across the region and ensure that sites embrace a "total quality" approach to malt manufacturing, aiming to reduce customer complaints and zero food safety incidents.
- You overlook quality and continuous improvements from barley supply to malt final uses.
- You work closely with the supply chain team, understanding customer needs of raw materials to target the best quality barley from origins and suppliers.
- You work closely with the production teams to ensure barley contract management is aligned with quality requirements while also being responsible for management and maintenance of technical Bill of Materials.
- You offer technical support on quality and food safety to the business
**Master we are looking for ?**
- You have a Master or Bachelor degree in a technical field, agriculture, Agronomy, food science, Chemistry or related discipline
**Experience**:
- You have acquired knowledge of the food industry, preferably the malting or brewing industry
- You have acquired experience with food safety systems, preferably FSSC 22000
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a senior quality, technical, food processing or production role
- You have experience in problem solving and change management
- You have sound knowledge of biochemistry for technical support of the business
- You speak and write fluent English and Dutch. French is a plus.
- You have affinity with the shopfloor, are a pragmatic problem solver, and can work autonomously.
