- Knowledge of Belgian labour and non-profit laws and health & safety regulations-

- Fluency in written and spoken English (our working language) and full working proficiency in Dutch and/or French. Knowledge of any other EU language will be a plus-

**PEOPLE & CULTURE (HR) AND OFFICE MANAGER **based at our European Unit in Brussels
- **Permanent position (80% or full time)**
- You are a friendly People & Culture (HR) and Office manager with at least three years’ relevant professional experience and with notions of finances. You are a committed environmentalist eager to play a role in bringing about fundamental changes for a more beautiful world._

**Main purpose of the job**
- To manage the day-to-day HR needs of the team; to ensure a pleasant work environment so that Greenpeace European Unit colleagues can work efficiently and effectively for the organisation; to support the Director and the Senior Management Team in the running of the office; to liaise with the external finance people and maintain an overview of the budget.**Main functions/responsibilities**

**People and Culture (P&C) related tasks**- Greenpeace global People and Culture community_
Participate in the Greenpeace global People and Culture community, implement best practice in the European Unit for optimal care and support of all colleagues.-
- Contracts, salaries, information management _- Process, monitor and update all contract-, benefit
- and personnel-related information according to contract requirements and Belgian labour law.
Salaries: _Act as the intermediary between the European Unit and the Social Secretariat to ensure that salaries are administered accurately.
Recruitment_**Finance related tasks**
- Keep timely records and pay invoices, monitor the European Unit bank account. Liaise with external bookkeeper and financial controller.**Office management related tasks**- Health & Safety: _Responsible for the Health & Safety, office facilities and First Aid processes and policies.-
- External suppliers: _Coordinate day-to-day relations with all office suppliers and maintain stock levels of office supplies.Non-profit organisation: _Follows up non-profit legislation and takes care of the general administration for the European Unit as a non-profit entity (for example: registration & taxes).-
- Cosy and welcoming office space_
Make sure the physical office space feels cosy and welcoming by making sure repairs are carried out on time and by taking initiatives to make the office space more attractive.
