Our client offers worldwide specialized advice with a personal and local approach, with their own staff being the largest shareholder. With an experienced team, they provide best-in-class insurance solutions in the BeLux region in areas such as Property & Casualty, Construction, Financial Lines, Marine and Employee Benefits, resulting in strong customer focus and trust relationships. For their Marine department, they are looking for a claims profile. As claims manager Marine you will advise clients and manage claims files in the various marine insurance lines such as transport insurance, Hull & Machinery and all marine liability insurance such as Charterers' Liability, P&I, terminal liabilities and logistics providers.
**Description**
- You follow up claims files and ensure correct and timely settlement
- You consult internally on the files with the other claims managers and production managers and advise where possible to improve the quality of the conditions
- You negotiate with insurers regarding the claim settlement and build your personal relationship with the clients, insurers, experts and other service providers in the marine insurance sector
- You are the personal confidant of your clients and ensure good communication in writing, by telephone and in meetings

**Profile**
- You have a higher education preferably in a legal or financial direction and have a strong interest in maritime insurance
- Experience is an asset but not an absolute necessity. Our client likes to invest in the training of motivated starters
- You are very communicative in Dutch and English and practical knowledge of French is a plus
- You are a good negotiator, work customer-oriented and can also deliver a difficult message
- We have a strong and experienced team that works together and helps each other but with the necessary space to organize the work independently;
- You are a real team player where cooperation and trust is key
