Your mission, should you choose to accept it
- You will be responsible for the entire portfolio of global insurance programs, including Marine Cargo, Charterers Liability, Cyber, General Liability and D&O.
- You will make sure that the material risks of our group are adequately covered by these insurance programs.
- You constantly look for optimisation/imporvement (in terms of premium and conditions) of our insurance programs, in close collaboration with outside broker.
- You are also responsible for claims handling and are in regular contact with our colleagues in Belgium and abroad to ensure, together with our broker, that claims are handled in a diligent way.
- Based on your findings from (recurring) claims, you engage with the business to find operational optimisations and take risk prevention measures.
- You will also be involved in due diligence and integration activities for insurance aspects of M&A transactions and startup of new businesses.
- You will report to the Chief Legal & People Officer, and you will work in close collaboration with the legal and other departments.
Who are we looking for?
- You have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Law, Economics, or Risk Management or equivalent by experience.
- You are very experienced (at lease 5 years) in risk management and managing complex insurance programs.
- You possess a strong knowledge of insurance products, including Marine Cargo (very important), Charterers Liability, Cyber, General Liability, and D&O.
- You are an excellent negociator and know very well how to work together with external brokers.
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends in claims are necessary to get the job done and you know how to implement risk mitigation measures.
- You have experience with mergers and acquisitions, specifically regarding insurance aspects.
- You are proficient in handling claims processes at an international level.
- You are an excellent communicator and have collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders worldwide.
- For this position we are looking for a fulltime colleague. 80 % regime is also possible.
