Protealis develops superior seeds and seed technologies for legume crops that are adapted to our local north-western European environment. This creates new opportunities for European farmers to help overcome Europe’s protein deficit through the production of more local, sustainable plant proteins as an alternative for meat and milk proteins.

**Why do we need you?**

At Protealis we want to provide farmers with the best genetics for protein crops. As we scale our commercial footprint and widen our protein crop portfolio, we are looking for another technician to join our established field and greenhouse team in Gavere in order to help us realize our growth strategy.

**What do we need you to do?**
- Assisting with the sowing, maintenance and harvest of plants in the growth chamber.
- Assisting in the preparation of the field season, such as counting and sorting of seeds..
- Helping with the sowing, maintenance and harvest of breeding trials in the field.
- Cleaning seeds, purifying seed lots and prepare seeds for shipping out.
- Performing quality analyses: e.g. scanning, germination testing,

**What experience are we seeking?**
- You have experience in cultivating plants.
- You preferably have been exposed to aspects plant breeding and/or crop production.
- Previous experience with working in agriculture or biotech is a plus.
- You are able to express yourself clearly in one or both languages: Dutch or English.
- You are in possession of a drivers’ license (B).
