For the Screening group in our R&D Innovation Center in Ghent (Belgium) we are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Technician to support Insect Screening activities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- You organize and execute technical experiments/protocols in the context of Insect Screening (insect rearing and bioassays) as directed by your supervisor and program leader.
- You evaluate technical quality of experiments and seek advice when needed.
- You compile and record data sets according to company standards.
- Your working environment consists of well-equipped labs, greenhouses and/or growth chambers.
- You respect (bio)safety and QMS standards in the area of responsibility.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Preferably, you have a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or Entomology or equivalent through experience.
- Experience in insect rearing and/or execution of insect bioassays is considered a strong plus.
- Strong organizational talent, great eye for detail and moreover precise and accurate in handling samples, data, and information.
- You are a team player and can operate independently.
- You have a creative, innovative, and proactive mindset and attitude.
- You are a good communicator with good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- You are flexible to occasionally support the team during the weekend to maintain insect colonies.
