What is your role? “Doer”, Contributor and Advisor, you are the one to make all data integrity, quality & protection initiatives converging to the ultimate goal, which is “Making Data Great for Higher Value Contribution”
**Purpose of the function**:
In your position as Data Protection Manager, also Data Quality Integrity and Protection (DACQUIP), you will report to the Head of Business Transformation. You will be at the heart of the continuous Data improvement process while being the first line of defense (LoD1) stakeholder for personal data protection. You are the key contributor to the value chain around data and you will be a good partner of Legal, Risk, IT and Compliance stakeholders.
**Main responsibilities**
The Data Protection Manager (“DAQUIP”) is responsible for leading and ensuring the effective implementation of data protection management and compliance in the LoD1. As well as the data protection framework across the entity in close and transversal cooperation with local management, Human Resources and IT.
**The main missions are as follows**:
- Implements the personal data protection framework provided by ARVAL DPO;
- Sets guidelines and operational policies and procedure within the LoD1 according to Group Policies and specifications provided by DPOs;
- Provides and ensures employees privacy trainings and promotes data protection culture;
- Coordinates and leads operational implementation within its perimeter, and ensures the efficiency of the local framework for
- third party management process including cross border transfer
- first level of control on data protection topics
- completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments;
- Leads and coordinates the whole process of Data Leakage Prevention and Personal Data Breaches Management including identification, investigation, preparation and follow-up of notification, communication, remediation and corrective actions and reports;
- Identifies high risk processing activities and performs Privacy By Design and Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) of new products, activities, projects, major modifications of existing processing;
- Produces and maintains the “Register of Processing Activities” and coordinates the updates of processes;
- Relays information across LoD1 related to supervisory matters provided by DPO channel;
- Advises, supports, provides information and data to the ARVAL DPO Network (ARVAL DPO and relevant T-DPO/DPC);
- Manages the action plans/corrective measures within the entity by its identification, prioritization and coordination of efforts.
- You have a Master degree completed in Law and a proven working experience (minimum 3 years) in Data Privacy Law;
- For the purpose of the position, a DPO certification is a plus, as well as experience in the domain of IT Security;
- You gained your experience through different functions that could be a mix of Project Management, Legal, Risk or IT;
- You like processes and systems and are good in leading others towards excellence, in a pragmatic and efficient way;
- You are curious and like to contribute to the improvement of the existing;
- Autonomous, you like working with others and are not afraid to do things also by yourself;
- You feel at ease in every situation and environment and you are well organized;
- Solving issues, pushing and pulling colleagues are part of your DNA;
- Sharing and communicating are features of your temper and the new IT & digital tools are obviously natively into your own tool box;
- You have very good analytical skills;
- Obviously, you are very good at English and Dutch or French.
You are also prepared to travel occasionally.
