THE ROLE
As a Senior Manager in the Automotive team at Capgemini Invent you will collaborate with functional and industry specialists and put both your technology and industry knowledge to the use of organizations, helping them overcoming challenges and enhancing their business processes while leveraging the latest digital solutions.
The Automotive industry as we know it today will change due to disruptions from start-ups, innovations from other industries and changing customer demands. Customers want to be connected via seamless digital channels with the manufacturer, service providers and their own vehicle. Therefore, Automotive incumbents should transform their product-oriented strategy to a customer and service-oriented strategy. There is abundant evidence that the Automotive landscape is changing as we speak. It requires companies throughout the whole value chain to become fit for the digital future, so from suppliers to dealerships there is a call for action to embark on the journey of connected - customers, insights, manufacturing and operations.
THE WORK
- You will help drive our strategy, shape our offers, develop our capability within the Automotive sector and lead sales and delivery work with new and existing clients.
- Business development - utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships and your own network to generate Consulting revenue.
- As well as defining the target shape and composition of the Automotive Sector team and recruiting consultants, you will be mentoring other members of the team to ensure their effective development.
- Engaging with existing and potential clients - developing relationships with senior members of the Automotive Sector
- Ensuring effective delivery and timely completion of projects in alignment with commercial goals.
Externally in the market, you will bring the presence and gravitas to initiate, manage and maintain board / senior management relationships. To understand and scope out their challenges and potential solutions and to both sell & deliver top-tier consulting and technology enabled business transformation work.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
Professional Background
You have:
- A proven experience (more than 7 years) within the automotive industry, combined with management consulting experience.
- Strong project management skills in line with the industry standards (recognized certifications like PRINCE II etc. are a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of one of our key focuses around digital transformation, corroborated by several years of professional exposure or involvement.
- A strong business acumen and sharp client-facing communication skills.
- You will bring deep experience in the Automotive Sector, having worked at OEMs/Distributors, as an advisor to the industry, or even better, both.
- You may also have experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing.
- The automotive world has no secrets for you.
Educational Background
You hold:
- A master’s degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Sciences.
- An MBA or an additional master’s degree is a plus.
Personal Skills
- You are fluent in French, Dutch and English.
- You have strong consulting skills and the ability to overcome internal barriers with drive, determination and influencing skills.
- You are passionate in supporting our clients to design, deliver and optimise their businesses.
- You will have a natural ability to work in mixed teams of colleagues and senior executives and possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- You can empathize with clients in politically challenging environments, can work under pressure within given timeframes.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are results-oriented and have a can-do mentality.
