**About the Role**:
Uber Eats is looking for a Courier Operations Manager for its Central Operations team in Brussels. Our mission is to make the Uber Eats platform the preferred food delivery platform for restaurants, couriers and eaters across the 30+ cities where we operate in Belgium
Operations Manager is a key role for Uber Eats and combines various skills such as: leadership and ops management, project management, process creation and automation, advanced data analytics, interactions with our Central Operation and Product teams, as well as with our City Manager teams, who are in contact with partners across Belgium daily. More specifically, the Courier Operations team is in charge of creating the best experience for our courier partners..
**What You'll Do**:
- ** Leadership & Ops Management**:Own the Courier Operations Vertical: track performance, define strategy and roadmap, represent your vertical among BE leadership team, and identify areas of opportunities;
- ** Process & Tool Creation**: One of your tasks is to build processes and tools for our restaurants and courier partners and teams in the field. For example, you might automate a communication campaign, build new rules that help fight fraud, develop new partnerships (equipment, road safety, food safety ), optimize onboarding processes or build an identification system for delivery problems and then find scalable solutions to correct these;
- ** Project Management**:Operations Managers lead all aspects of projects from their initial definition until their final implementation. They are also responsible for defining and following project KPIs. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with many different teams in France and across the world, ensuring alignment, and quick execution - all while maintaining Uber’s high standards for operational execution;
- ** Data analysis**: Uber wouldn’t be Uber without all of our data. You will autonomously create your own analyses and dashboards to measure your projects’ success;
- ** Stakeholder management**: Orchestrate and bring together the work of a wide range of cross-functional team members including City Managers, Courier Operations Representatives, EMEA Central Operations team, Product, Finance, CommOps, Comms, and Legal to ensure consistent and appropriate focus.
**Basic Qualifications**:
- You will bring 4 to 7 years of experience in Startup, Strategy Consulting, Operations Management, or another relevant field;
- Data-driven decision-making mentality and sound commercial competence. **Excel modelling is required and SQL knowledge is helpful;**:
- Unparalleled business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly establish the highest value priorities and develop a strategy to pursue them;
- Experience problem solving and proposing outstanding solutions to complex issues;
- Experience developing and implementing project proposals (end-to-end);
- Experience in leading process and performance improvements by using data and insights;
- Experiment and work hard to build quickly. This individual will need to identify and evaluate solutions for short and long-term operational problems;
- Experience working closely and presenting effectively with a diverse set of team members in a constantly evolving, rapid-growth environment with tight deadlines;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in **English and French or Dutch.**
