**Jouw profiel**:
**Location**: Mechelen

**Fixed office days**: Every Tuesday and one additional day, depending on the region

**Languages**: English (must), Dutch and French are a plus

**Your Role as Fiber Build Specialist**:
Join the **Fiber Regional Team**, the key to connectivity for both internal and external customers. From design to execution, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of fiber projects in your region.

With your expertise:

- You design and manage fiber networks;
- You provide technical documentation (jetting and splicing schemes) to ensure flawless project execution;
- You are the go-to person for troubleshooting, project managers, subcontractors, and coax designers;
- You work on diverse projects such as business connections, RAN sites, and FTTH;
- You analyze costs and the impact of network expansions.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Document and update changes to the fiber network;
- Collect information and combine sources to re-establish the correct network status;
- Ensure flawless administrative follow-up and maintain an up-to-date status of all tasks;
- Detect common errors and define solutions together with involved teams;
- Develop improvement tracks and explore ways to accelerate processes (e.g., through Excel macros or automation).

**Your Experience and Skills Make the Difference**:

- ** Experience**: Fiber network design and implementation;
- ** Tools**: GIS tools such as GE SmallWorld, ArcGIS, or QGIS;
- ** Traits**: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a “getting-things-done” mentality;
- ** Language Skills**: Excellent communication in English (and preferably Dutch);
- ** Passion**: Interest in telecom and media, with a willingness to learn and grow.

**Must-Have Skills**:

- Experience with GIS tools;
- Technical insight and a strong sense of ownership;
- Independent, analytical thinker with a solution-oriented approach.

**Nice-to-Have Skills**:

- Knowledge of French;
- Field experience (e.g., as a supervisor or splicer);
- Experience with long-distance fiber projects.
