The Task Order(s) within the Applications Support and Data Administration business area deliver the technical services required for the HRDS business services for the maintenance of the HRDS databases, reports, workflows and provides CIS escalation for the HRDS helpdesk.

**Skills, knowledge, experience required**:

- University Degree or Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training leading to a formal technical or professional certification with 2 years’ post related experience;
- OR a secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation in database administration with 4 years’ business area related experience;
- At least 2 years’ experience in the last 3 years as an MS SQL programmer working with MS SQL 2016 or later to develop SQL objects including tables, views, and all forms of programmability. Experience must include using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and PowerShell scripts, and should also include SQL Job development;
- At least 2 years’ experience in the last 3 years as a Report Developer using Microsoft SQL Report Services (SSRS) or Power BI Report Server (PBRS) to design static and/or dynamic reports to extract information from multiple databases on different servers/clusters;
- At least 1 year’ experience in the last 3 years using BMC Remedy Trouble Ticketing System or equivalent centralised system;
- Proficiency in English equivalent to or higher than the NATO Standardised Level Profile 3, 3, 3, 3 (i.e., Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills must be excellent) set in NATO STANAG 6001 (B2, B2, B2, B2 using CEF).

**Duties/role**:

- Developing and generating MS SQL database queries, scripts, functions, stored procedures and jobs in support of NATO-wide HRDS user community (response time is within 1 and 3 days);
- Developing and administering SQL Reporting Services reports and Power BI report server (not the Power BI service) static and dynamic reports (response time is within 1 and 3 days);
- Developing and maintaining MS PowerShell scripts working with MS SQL server, MS SharePoint 2013/2019 on premise and MS Active Directory (response time is within 1 and 3 days);
- Supporting the data administration of HRDS (response time is within 1 and 3 days);
- Supporting the HRDS Business Support section in the collection of requirements from the user community and the formulation of requirements and specifications in relation to database operations (response time is within 1 and 3 days);
- Supporting HRDS fielding and acceptance tests, focusing on database integrity and replication requirements compliance (2 test events per year);
- Providing expert database advice in support of the centralised Helpdesk and on-site assistance to HRDS users (response time is within 1 and 3 days depending on the priority);
- Performing database management for the HRDS systems, including back-up procedures and integrity checking (monthly highlight report);
- Conducting regular audits of HRDS data and accounts to ensure correct usage and conduct (monthly audit reports).
