A key player in the Insurance sector, our client is located in Brussels. By taking the height on the insurance sector, this company allows you to have a real impact in the field. It is a human-sized structure where collegiality, dynamism and stability rule.
**Beschrijving**
- In order to advise on IFRS, you follow the initiatives taken at national and European level in the prudential regulation for insurance companies, with a particular focus on Finance and Risk management;
- You identify trends and themes in these areas that are relevant to the Belgian insurance sector;
- You are vigilant regarding the evolution of IFRS standards, you keep yourself informed in order to anticipate the topics that could be put on the table in the future at the sector level and that will have a likely impact for the sector;
- You actively participate in meetings with representatives of insurance companies to discuss the positions to be taken at national level regarding regulations to be adopted, improved or modified;
- You understand the positions of the different parties around the table and you are able to synthesize them;
- During these meetings, you play the role of facilitator in order to reach a consensus where each party feels understood (at the political level, administrative bodies, companies, etc.);
- You are able to argue your positions and have a critical eye on these topics and issues;
- You analyze proposals at national and international level and their potential impact on members (of insurance companies);
- You are the representative in external forums (NBB, European bodies, etc.) and are able to convince external partners;
- You collaborate on publications to inform members and the sector;
- At the request of the members, give advice to the members on problems encountered;
- You report to the Director Risk & Finance.
**Profile**
- You have a Master's degree in Economics, Actuarial Sciences or Finance;
- A few years of professional experience in the field of finance or risk management (preferably in an insurance company, an audit firm or a consulting firm) will be an asset;
- If you do not yet have any concrete experience, you have written a thesis on IFRS and/or participated in an internship that enabled you to acquire this knowledge;
- Very good knowledge of IFRS and prudential rules for insurance companies;
- You have an excellent knowledge of French and Dutch. You are able to communicate in English;
- You have an analytical mind to identify and propose, then you have facilities for negotiations, persuasion, compromise;
- You are an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with excellent presentation skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong diplomatic skills.
