Technologist Raw Material

**Mission**

In direct report to the Head of central sourcing R&D, your assignments are:

- Understand the portfolio of the entire group (many references especially due to integrations) and help people with it (perfectly understand the functioning, help with technical details, look for potential alternatives, setting protocols )
- Be part of innovation (both 70% of the time)
- Integrate raw material in the global portfolio (10% of the time) and set a strategy with procurement (20% of the time)
- Provide raw mat innovations required to achieve the innovation programs
- Train the company's RD&A community in material usage / understanding
- Assist in reaching the sustainability goals for the suppliers and ingredients within your category
- Execute new product watch for your category and capture supplier innovation
- Propose a category sourcing strategy (supporting the business needs of the company) and communicate this toward upper management and local R&D communities

**Profile**

You have a food science background, ideally food ingredients (Bachelor or Master in Applied Food Science, or Master in Biosciences Engineering) and an experience of minimum 2-3 years ideally. Tests in labs, food process engineering, food science, analytical chemistry and technologies for food have no secret for you. Your level of raw material functionality and/or meat science has to be strong.

Fluent English and acquaintance to general IT tools needed.

You are a very rigourous and organized person, able to work as a team. Your reactivity, communication skills, open-mindness and flexibility to work on a cross-cultural environment are strong assets.
