**FF&E DESIGN ASSISTANT**:***

**You are**:

- Someone with a passionate love of design, art and beauty with an affinity for furniture and styling.
- A structured person who is organized, proactive and punctual. You have the ability to set and uphold programmes, stick to deadlines, with excellent project management at all times.
- Someone with strong and concise communication skills.
- Ideally we’re looking for someone with a degree or equivalent in Interior Design. This is preferred but not essential.
- Someone with an exceptional eye for detail, proportions, colour and fabrics, with a strong knowledge of materials and relevant brands.
- You have experience in or a thorough understanding of the luxury residential and/or commercial sector.
- You are proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Vectorworks/ CAD /SketchUp is a plus.
- You have a good understanding of project costs and budget awareness
- Fluent in spoken and written English

**You will**:

- Be a vital part of the Dieter Vander Velpen Architects team in creating a complete atmosphere into the smallest details.
- Produce mood boards, sketches, and put together client presentations
- Handle FF&E space planning, selection and installation of furniture, art and decoration in tandem with our FF&E director. This includes new and vintage furniture and accessories and build relationships with sellers.
- Help to create full project FF&E schedules and budgets.
- Assist in designing bespoke furniture. i.e. Review supplier technical drawings prior to manufacturing together with our interior and product designers
- Work with contractors and suppliers to ensure the design and quality are executed as per the specification and to the highest standard
- Keep an eye on the pre-agreed budget and make sure all parties involved are well informed
