The Antwerp office provide the full project execution services: from conceptual engineering, basic engineering, and detailed engineering through commissioning and construction support.
- The Electrical & Instrumentation & Control System group is a dynamic team in which engineering, design and leadership skills are combined to effectively support our clients.
- In addition to a solid education focusing on engineering and/or design, a strong set of personal competencies is a prerequisite for success.
- Being a team player and having an ability to interact effectively with client’s organization and others disciplines in our taskforce is essential.
- In these projects, engineers / designers take responsibility for the functionality of the electrical & Instrumentation & Control System project scope in the oil, gas and (petro-) chemical industry, renewable energy solutions, life science and advanced manufacturing.
- They work within a task force for the realization of multi-discipline projects in close cooperation with vendors and clients to translate functional specifications into technical solutions.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform design development in several project phases e.g. Conceptual design, front-end design, detail engineering and design and plant commissioning for integration of new facilities in revamp type project as well for ‘small’ grass-root type of projects.

Work activities include e.g.:
- Reading and mark-up of P&ID’s, develop instrument index; read and understand instrument datasheets/specifications and control narratives; develop instrument block diagrams; develop and delegate detailed design like: cable schedules/ panel layouts/ instrument layouts/ sketches/ loop and wiring diagrams/ hook-ups/ cable trays; electrical design ; selection of materials; E&I&CS input to other disciplines like check, read and give input to interface drawings related to the E&CS scope for civil, steel, piping and mechanical

E.g. : Underground drawings, Equipment location plans, Steel structure details, Buildings dimensions and layout, Area classification plans, Main cable trays routings, assure and integer functional design in close cooperation with applicable engineers.- Input to Basic Engineering Design Packages and Writing of contractors scope of work
- Assure quality of work assigned, assure technical integrity of design documents
- Supervision, planning, organization of the work:

- Lead /coordinate the E&I&CS design team; Assign work in cooperation with the lead engineer.
- Communicate and align with clients, vendors and other disciplines.
- Supervise and act as mentor for a group of junior and intermediate level designers
- Promote and support Value Improvements Initiatives and Continuous Performance Improvement
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located and be able to interview on site., Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

**Basic Job Requirements**
- Proven Experience- Minimum 15 years relevant working experience in a revamp / brown-field environment with an engineering / installation contractor or production company in the process industry.
- Knowledge of field instrumentation, field wiring solutions and DCS and PLC wiring solutions
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Exhibit understanding of pertinent industry practices
- AutoCad and/or Microstation Proficiency
- IN Tools (SPI) is of added value
- Extensive field experience for E and I.

**Requirements**:
- Bachelor education level or equivalent in industrial measuring and control engineering / electrical engineering
Written and oral communication with our Clients is as well in Dutch as in English- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel
- Leadership skills and able to multitask
