Twipe is a mediatech scale-up based in Leuven, Belgium working with leading newspaper publishers in Europe and the US to grow their digital subscribers and sustain quality journalism. We offer cloud based digital edition publishing, analytics, and personalization solutions. Our innovative solutions accelerate the growth of newspapers including Le Monde, The Telegraph and the various titles of Mediahuis (De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad, De Telegraaf, ).

To inspire our industry, we gather and analyze industry knowledge and share insights with our growing Future of News publishers’ community.

**Why are we hiring?**

As Data & AI is an essential part of Twipe’s strategy and a differenciator on the market, we’re looking for a Team Leader for our Data & AI team to develop further our set of products along with EngageReaders and JAMES. We also believe that Data & AI is an important internal enabler to make better and faster decisions and generate automations.

**What do you do?**
- You manage a team of 3 to 5 FTEs including software and data engineers
- You set big picture vision and follow-up implementation and systems performance in fine grained detail
- You enable the Product Strategy and lead its implementation for our Data & AI products, together with our senior leadership team
- You proactively gather new requirements on feature integrations, technology upgrade and schedule together with the product and customer integration teams in future platform releases
- You ensure proper documentation and communication of our Data & AI Solutions platform releases both to internal teams and customers
- You monitor the developed platform components in production to ensure they meet the quality standards
- You ensure that deliveries are done on time, with the best quality we can provide and within the budgetary scope defined
- You manage customer dependencies in close collaboration with our Customer Success and Business Development team and product dependencies together with our Product team

**Your track record**:

- You have at least 8 years of experience with building, managing or supporting SaaS Data Related Products to end customers (e.g. dashboards, insights, )
- You show a proven ability in drawing insights from data, in A/B testing and in iterative product development
- You have a good understanding of Big Data and Machine Learning concepts and techniques and hands-on experience with relevant programming languages and tools
- You can bridge the business and tech side of data
- You have a strong track record in people management, managing 1-to1s, coaching, performance review, etc.
- Experience with mediatech in area of data and insights is a plus
