**Functie**:
Als **Data Scientist** krijg je heel wat verantwoordelijkheden:
- Als Data Scientist draag je bij aan het **opzetten, beheren en onderhouden van alle activiteiten rondom digitalisering** voor de semiconductor business, samen met andere business stakeholders.Je zal een grote **hoeveelheid** gegevens opschonen, extraheren, analyseren en interpreteren uit verschillende bronnen, met behulp van **algoritmen, data mining, artificiële intelligentie, machine learning en statistische tools**, om het toegankelijk te maken voor zakelijke stakeholders;
- ** In deze rol sta je voortdurend in contact met mensen van verschillende departementen binnen de organisatie in België, Japan en USA;**:
- Je bent hoofdverantwoordelijke voor data science **projecten** binnen de semiconductor business en rapporteert op regelmatige basis over de** kwaliteit, het proces en de status van je projecten;**:
- Daarnaast help je bij het **definiëren** en **ontwikkelen** van nieuwe projecten voor digitalisering en data mining binnen de semiconductor business;
- Je voert datamining uit of extraheert bruikbare gegevens uit waardevolle gegevensbronnen (inclusief verwerking, opschoning en validatie van de integriteit van gegevens) om **analyses en conclusies voor te bereiden** voor zakelijke belanghebbenden;
- Jij verbetert **dataverzamelingsprocedures** om alle relevante informatie op te nemen, en **ondersteunt** het lokale **automatiseringsteam** bij deze taak;
- Binnen je expertise treed jij op als **technisch expert en adviseur in diverse projecten** ter ondersteuning van **customer support, customer services, QA, QC, sales en lokale productieteams;**:
- Last but not least** bouw jij bruggen** tussen het lokale automatiseringsteam, het digitaliseringsteam in de VS, Japan en de lokale halfgeleiderteams.

**Profiel en vaardigheden**:
Als **Data Scientist** kan je je vinden in het volgende:
- Je hebt een **masterdiploma in wiskunde, natuurkunde, scheikunde of ingenieurswetenschappen en een sterke affiniteit met datamining en data science;**:
- Daarnaast heb jij een **uitstekende kennis van R, Python en/of Julia en database query talen zoals SQL en data explorer software (Tableau, PowerBI, JMP Pro, etc.).** Vertrouwd zijn met een andere programmeertaal is een extra voordeel;
- Goede operationele vaardigheden in **statistiek zijn een must, waaronder kennis van testen, verspreiding, terugval, etc.** en goede kennis van machine learning methoden zoals** k-Nearest Neighbors, SVM, Decision Forests, etc;**:
- ** Projectbeheer** is één van jouw sterktes;
- Daarbuiten ben je ook sterk** analytisch, **gestructureerd en communicatief vaardig.** Je werkt **zelfstandig, proactief en accuraat;**:
- ** Stressbestendig zijn is een must en je bent in staat om prioriteiten te stellen;**:
- Je hebt sterke **interpersoonlijke** **vaardigheden** en kan meerdere stakeholders met verschillende agenda's beheren;
- ** Multitasken**, snel **bijleren** en **flexibel** zijn qua uren (regelmatig contact met USA Westkust);
- Een expertise hebben in het verstaanbaar **overbrengen en onderwijzen** van moeilijke concepten en conclusies aan niet-vakspecialisten;
- Je **communiceert** zeer vloeiend (**mondeling** en **schriftelijk**) in het **Engels**, kennis van het **Nederlands** is een pluspunt;
- Kennis van **agile** software ontwikkeling is een **pré**.
