DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development and implementation of the region’s strategic growth plans, including the design and delivery of the value proposition in the market and the regional health strategy
Drive improved understanding and insights of client, customer, producer and partner needs and expectations, and develop and execute a strategy to meet them
Determine where to compete / targeted geographies and customer segments.
Facilitate establishment and socialization of shared vision and aspiration across the enterprise; drive prioritisation and planning to successfully execute the strategic plan.
Identify changes in the environment, macro-trends, stakeholders’ needs and competitor strategies - evaluate, adjust, or redirect the business plan to address risk and capitalise on opportunity.
Align EGS strategy to IM strategy, partnering closely with other regions to identify opportunities for collaboration
Lead the strategic planning process for all segments across EGS collaborating with SLT and other functional partners and ensuring alignment with International Markets strategic initiatives and direction.
Provide expert insights to annual strategic planning process, leveraging stakeholder and competitive research and analysis, market sizing and projection modeling, and review of strengths/competency, opportunities and gaps.
Build out an M&A framework including monitoring evaluation and execution of inorganic options. Lead regional M&A strategy in close partnership with both the International Markets strategy and corporate development teams.
Lead product and proposition development designed to maximize global growth strategy for Europe and Global Segments.
Leadership of the strategy execution office and programme delivery resources, enabling resource allocation, prioritization and execution of core regional investment priorities.
Oversee a team responsible for refreshing existing core products that will help drive incremental growth, as well as introduce new products and enhancements that are compliant and competitive within the target market(s).
Lead, develop and inspire the teams under the direct and indirect control of the role including setting performance standards and holding the teams accountable for delivery

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Bachelors Degree preferred; MBA or Masters Degree or equivalent experience
Strategic thinker, able to explore the ‘big picture’ then create the road map to make it happen
Insights driven, data led decision maker, balanced with the ability to leverage and develop foresight - anticipates and solves problems before they occur
Ability to build and leverage internal relationships
Passion and energy for inciting results through others; influences and inspires others to achieve
Effective leadership, prioritization and management of complex deliverable portfolio in a dynamic environment
Robust understanding of all relevant markets and ability to translate the trends and insights into a clear strategic roadmap for the delivery of market-leading and truly differentiating strategy and proposition.
Proven innovator with a robust understanding of and a keen interest in the latest technology-related health trends, how future developments will potentially impact our business, and the many business opportunities that they can create for Cigna
