About you and this role

As a new DOW employee, you will be based/hired in Seneffe, Belgium. This means you will start in your base location with a 9-month assignment and will then rotate for the remaining 12 months to different Dow businesses and potentially other EU locations to work on 2 other projects of 6 months each.

This is a great opportunity to start in a large multinational company such as Dow as it will enable you to build a strong network and to be exposed to a broad range of Dow technologies & products.

At the end of the program, you will come back to your base location (Seneffe) as a Senior Research Specialist. As a Senior Research Specialist, you will engage in development of new products aiming at commercializing innovative elastomers solutions, supporting our customer needs. In that context, you will work with multifunctional teams, composed of customer facing peers, marketing as well as manufacturing colleagues. In parallel, in order to support technology development and front-end activities, you will deepen your technical background: you will strengthen specific skills & develop new areas of expertise. You will spend approx. 50% of your time in the laboratory.

One RAP position is currently open in Seneffe focusing on Product Development.

**Qualifications**:

- Recent graduates with Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer or Physical Chemistry or a strongly related field with less than 1 year of experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, strong scientific curiosity, and scientific methodology.
- Strong initiative and open to working in a diverse environment with colleagues from around the world.
- A hands-on person who will demonstrate the skills and the drive required to develop & implement innovative solutions from lab to customers.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- An early career professional open to a position requiring geographical mobility at both national and international scale within the first 21 months of their career at Dow (essential requirement)
