**What you will be doing**

The goal of the Head of RBM & CSM ( Cobalt Speciality Materials) metals Controlling and Hedging is overseeing, analyzing and managing including hedging the Cobalt, Nickel and Lithium metals position, the monitoring and documenting of the metal NCI (Non Current Inventories) needs and the management of metal mali and monitoring of unsold metal boni.

You have to focus on monitoring metal positions, securing all transactions with a metal dimension are completely and accurately captured and properly handled following Umicore’s metal hedging policies and providing adequate paper metal hedging where available.

You will act as the partner of both supply & sales teams to follow up, advise & challenge the actions taken by these respective teams in order to square the metal position and obtain the desired metal hedging outcome in the most efficient way.

Further, you will need to provide monthly a holistic view on metal results to the management of both BU’s and to Group Finance

Following observations you will discuss with the VP any course of action to improve, avoid losses or take opportunities and bring these recommendations and participate in their deployment.

Finally, our new colleague will be responsible for knowledge sharing regarding metals, how to manage & hedge, incl the setup of a standardized metal accounting and reporting.

You will be preferably located in Brussels.

**Who we are looking for**
- You acquired a Master degree in Finance / Business Administration / Commercial Sciences or equivalent through proven experience
- 6-10 years of experience in finance or business analysis
- You are business savvy in the sense to see where risks (to mitigate) or opportunities (to grasp) are to obtain optimal metal results
- You have or gain fast a solid understanding of metals and of hedging, metals and/or Forex
- You have good Insights in business flows
- A standing experience in the Umicore finance function is a strong advantage with good understanding of Umicore valuation rules and accounting standards, as well as CSM/RBM typical systems and process flows.

You are a great teammate with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are willing to discuss and challenge and you have an open mind. You are appreciated because you are able to prioritize efficiently and love to walk the extra mile. You are proficient in English and eventually other languages because you will communicate in a multicultural environment.
