Controller & Financial Operations Lead

FUNCTION
The main responsibilities of the Controller & Financial Operations Lead are:
- To ensure that a robust and compliant financial system is in place to enable growth of the company
- To oversee all accounting tasks, prepare monthly and annual financial statements, statutory accounts and provide support to the company’s auditors
- To prepare VAT and tax filings and ensure requirements for tax incentives are met
- To develop financial reports and conduct financial forecasts
- To coordinate the annual budgeting exercise
- You will report to the CEO
PROFILE
- You hold a Master degree Business Administration and Management or Applied Economics or Accountancy or equivalent by experience
- You are skilled in the financial domain
- Experience in biotech is an asset
- You demonstrate a strong business understanding, in particular of start-up and scale-up companies.
- You have a good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (B-GAAP), additional knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) is a plus.
- You are proficient with finance software such as Exact (Accounting), Monitor (Reporting) and are skilled in MS Office.
- Your flexibility and a good self
- organization will help you in this scale-up company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English is a must due to international activities, knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus
