**Your role & work environment**
As a Financial Risk specialist within Balance Sheet Risk, you will be responsible for managing the risks arising from commercial activities from ING Belgium and Group Treasury, more specifically from a market risk and interest rate risks in the banking books perspectives. You will play a central role in identifying, assessing, controlling, monitoring and reporting key banking risks through your dedicated expertise in market risk & IRRBB. You will ensure that appropriate risk transfers and hedging activities are performed while adhering to internal and external standards, and in particular monitors that Group Treasury and Financial Markets positions are in line with the defined risk appetite. You will moreover contribute to the setting of this risk appetite, and to the overall developments to ensure that ING Belgium’s IRRBB setup remains adequate and in line with evolving regulation and market developments. This key role lies at the center of the Bank’s activities and requires active stakeholder management to collaborate closely with Finance, Group Treasury, Commercial network and Financial Markets colleagues, both locally and at ING Group level.
**Your key responsibilities**
- Be a central player in a key risk management team, ensuring appropriate identification and management of markets, model and interest rate risks, anticipating markets and industry developments
- Play a pivotal 2nd line role to Group Treasury and Financial Markets activities
- Ensure that all (sub-) types of interest rate risks are appropriately managed, in line with the risk appetite of the Bank
- Actively participate in the definition of the risk framework of the Bank in a continuously evolving environment, to ensure we serve our customers the best way possible while managing the related risks.
- Provide in depth analysis on interest rate risks and discuss with colleagues from the commercial network, Finance, Group Treasury and Financial Markets departments
- Contribute to critical change programs to improve depth and quality of data-driven risk management

As a Financial Risk specialist on interest rate risks, you will need:
- Master degree in financial economics or equivalent, and 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Good understanding of the current and evolving regulatory environment, specifically on IRRBB and Trading environment, and their implications to manage key interest rate risks
- Good in-depth knowledge of financial instruments (e.g. bonds, derivatives, etc.) and ideally banks’ balance-sheet dynamics
- Experience of market risk management is a plus
- Good oral and written skills in English and Dutch and/or French
