Equans is looking for a **Section Manager - Substations**.

In this role, you are an integral leader within our department, steering your section towards achieving key objectives.

Your base of operations is Haren/Braine l'Alleud.

**HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE TAKING ON**:

- **financial stewardship**:

- oversee turnover, budget, and margin management, ensuring your section meets financial goals
- **team leadership**:

- manage and inspire a diverse team of professionals, monitoring performance to maintain a balance between quality and efficiency
- **relationship building**:

- foster long-term partnerships with customers, partners, and subcontractors, navigating varying interests to drive collaborative success
- **reporting & recommendations**:

- regularly update the Department Manager on your section’s progress and outcomes, while offering valuable insights for overall departmental enhancement
- **change management**:

- take ownership of transformative processes within your section to ensure continual improvement

**TO THRIVE IN THIS ROLE, YOU NEED**:

- a master’s degree or equivalent experience, with a solid foundation in H&MV substations or a keen desire to specialize
- 5+ years of managerial experience in a multidisciplinary technical environment
- proven expertise in motivating and managing teams to excel in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- strong financial acumen and experience with necessary reporting
- a commitment to customer satisfaction, aiming to build and nurture long-lasting relationships
- a results-oriented, enterprising mindset with a pragmatic approach to challenges
- excellent communication skills in Dutch, French, and English
