**RESPONSIBILITIES**

What you can expect:

- In this role you will be part of our Screening group and support delivering on R&D projects at a competitive cost, speed, and quality.
- Together with colleagues, you will be highly involved in technology development and platform innovation to drive our processes and improve efficiencies.
- You will design and implement novel experimental approaches in various Research projects related to plant-, insect and yeast-based screening methods.
- You will assist in coordinating experiments in consultation with the Screening leadership to achieve critical milestones for assigned tasks within Research projects.
- You will, in consultation with the lead scientist, interpret, analyze, and report with appropriate level of detail the outcomes of these experimental approaches and ensure data integrity.
- You will report on progress of experimental approaches towards agreed milestones to the Program Leader in a timely and explicit manner.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- You have a Master's degree in the Life Sciences (or equivalent through experience), with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a plant biotech / mol biology lab.
- You have hands-on experience with a diverse range of modern molecular biology techniques including PCR, DNA/RNA prep, sequencing, etc.
- You have experience and affinity with microbiological handlings and depositing data and results in databases.
- You have affinity with vector building and synthetic biology.
- Experience in (single) cell and or insect-based bioassays is a plus.
- You have computer skills and an affinity for working with specialized software and databases.
- You are known for your pragmatism, hands-on mentality, and coaching skills.
- You have networking skills and can interact and cooperate with various stakeholders at different levels throughout the organization.
- You have strong communication and presentation skills.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, both orally as well as in writing.
- You proactively provide advice on Research project strategy based on technical and literature inputs.
