**Who we are supporting**

The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:

- Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
- Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.
- Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
- Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.

Overall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO's communication and information technology capabilities.

**The program**

**Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)**

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO's principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.

In order to provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorises: NATO International Civilians (NIC)s, Military (Mil) and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.

**Role Background**

NATO is currently undergoing a significant revamp of its digital transformation strategy. In this context, the NATO Chief Information Officer (CIO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the unity of NATO Enterprise ICT capabilities and services. As the single point of authority (SPA) for cybersecurity, the NATO CIO is tasked with not only overseeing the coherence of the NATO Enterprise but also spearheading the development of an enterprise-wide approach to digital transformation and the delivery of NATO capabilities. This involves substantial engagement with both military and civilian executive stakeholders to supervise efforts in achieving NATO Enterprise coherence and advancing cybersecurity initiatives.

Within the framework of its mandate, the NATO Office of the CIO (OCIO) is mandated to execute and reinforce the role of Enterprise coherence. This encompasses the comprehensive assessment, oversight, and implementation of enterprise-wide capabilities and initiatives, all geared towards the realization of NATO 2030 objectives.

**Role Duties and Responsibilities**

**Content Creation**
- Develop compelling content for internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, and other platforms.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational messaging.

**Content Management**
- Oversee and contribute to the creation of digital content, ensuring information flow is up-to-date and user-friendly.
- Implement strategies to improve content curation, enabling better engagement and accessibility across the NATO Enterprise.

**Employee Engagement**
- Support the planning and execution of internal events, workshops, and employee recognition programs.
- Contribute to initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

**Collaboration**
- Work closely with management and project teams to gather information for internal communication materials.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and other team members to ensure visually appealing communication materials.

**Leadership Communication**
- Assist in the preparation of communications for company leadership, ensuring alignment with the overall internal communication strategy.
- Support the dissemination of important updates and messages from leadership to employees.

**Feedback and Analysis**
- Establish feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of internal communications.
- Analyse internal communication metrics to evaluate engagement and make recommendations for improvement.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Active NATO Secret Clearance.
- More than 2 years' NATO experience in communications and/or more than 4 years' industry experience in communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
