**The role**

Reporting to the Accounting Manager in our Finance department, you will be focusing on Accounts Payables for Belgium as **Accounting Specialist**.

**Key activities/responsibilities you will be in charge of**:

- Process incoming vendor invoices, manual booking and supervision of automatized invoicing tasks
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents in the accounting system
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and assist with internal and external audits
- Track and process employee expense reports
- Schedule and execute vendor payments while optimizing cash flow
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Generate regular AP aging reports and payment forecasts
- Prepare month-end closing reports related to accounts payable
- Calculate the commissions due to our partners

**The key capabilities for this role**:

- You hold a Bachelor/Master's degree in the Economic field, or equivalent by experience
- You have gained 2-3 years of experience in the field of Accounts Payables
- You are proficient in common ERP systems (Oracle will be considered a plus)
- You confidently master Excel
- You must be fluent in English plus either Dutch or French, with a good working knowledge of the other language.
- IFRS/IAS knowledge is an advantage
- You pay attention to details
- You are proactive and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
- You have advanced analytical skills and deliver high quality work
- You demonstrate a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills
- You are eager to learn and dare to take initiative to take the department to a higher level
- You are a team player and are willing to share experience and best practices
- You have a sound knowledge of Belgian finance regulation
