We are looking for a **Launch Excellence Lead Rare Diseases** to join our Global Rare Disease Organization, based in HQ, in Brussels, Belgium or another of relevant UCB hubs.

**About the role**

Is a key role: Maximizes Rare Launches across the UCB. Accountable for driving end to end launch excellence across the RDO. Scope is the current rare portfolio launch assets, future assets UCB is developing as well as potential business development opportunities. Reports into the Head of Launch and Operational Excellence, RDO.

**What you’ll do**

Representing the Rare Launch Excellence (LEX)

Accountable to co-create and deliver together with GRPTs, US, EU, IM region a global strategy that maximizes the assets global value for patients and UCB within the therapeutic business landscape. Ensuring the global, regional and local specificities needs are taken into account during this process.
- Create strategic vision for “One way to launch” for all UCB products
- The GRPT sets the strategy & guardrails, defines launch workstreams objectives & empowers the teams working on the objectives.
- Frame and make fully agreed timely decisions for endorsement by senior management to realize the full potential of the assets.
- Accountable to deliver the launch roadmaps, focusing on issue identification and resolution. Track and communicate launch progress
- Live the values and behaviors that foster a collaborative mindset and one strategy to successfully launch the asset.

Leading the end-to-end Launch excellence process Rare
- Work closely with the RDO LT, GRRM LT, I2I to align on KPIs.
- Driving cross functional launch readiness reviews launch at launch from -60 months-12, -6 and launch -3 mths. Coordinate and drive follow up actions with regions/assets directly.
- Build with I2I and drive pre and post launch tracking performance through regular tracking calls, driving launch +3 and +6 mths reviews (follow up actions cfr pre-launch reviews) for regions and key countries. Post launch field rides in key markets in order to keep close connection to our customers (both internal and external), continuously collect ecosystem insights and track performance firsthand.
- Drives focus, collaborative leadership, accountability, and open communication within the affiliates to help them grow local capabilities. Facilitate direct interactions between the GRPTs and key markets as needed, facilitate sharing key learnings from other regions.
- Work closely with the Head of Operational Excellence / Rare to ensure seamless progression from strategic planning to tactical planning

Drive foundation of UCB way of launch in digital era:
Launch Excellence across UCB : identify key leverage point across stakeholder journeys and key digital solution/programs/platforms. Build capabilities of digital strategic thinking, focus & decision making, integration of data and technology in our launch plans.

Drive accountability across UCB : drive and lead communities to share best practices, accelerate learning curve across wave 1 and wave 2 countries and across RDO.
- Nurture local Launch Excellence communities to help to gather launch learnings that can be used to better future launches.

Be a champion of Excellent Launches at UCB
- Be a champion of the UCB Way of Launch and the Tools we have to assist Launch teams
- Be both internally and externally focused - keep your understanding of Launch Excellence upto date by seeking to understand what it looks like outside UCB in both Pharma and non-Pharma and bring learnings back to UCB.

- Masters degree
- Possess at least 10 years relevant experience, ideally in Rare Disease.
- Must have worked both on a senior operational level as well as inside at least regional/global for several years. In depth understanding of UCB ecosystems, including cultural sensitivities.

- Strong project management and organizational skills
