With +50 years of experience, our services mainly concentrate on Belgium, Germany, England, Portugal, Spain, the Canary Islands and North and East Africa. Our head office is in Rotterdam and we also have branches in Hamburg, Antwerp, Barcelona, Nairobi and Mombasa.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Customer Service Coordinator Shortsea Export to join our team in Antwerp.
As Customer Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for following up on bookings and managing your own customer portfolio - with a focus on export cargo towards Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Canary Islands - both on a quayside and door-to-door basis. Our client base includes both freight forwarders and direct shippers.
- Management of both key and SME clients according to quoted incoterms and liner terms.
- Follow-up and reporting from A to Z according to that client’s specific requirements.
- Responsibility for an assigned vessel: follow-up of HSEs, clearances, IMDG declarations, loading lists, etc. Everything concerning the putting in order of the various items needed to load cargo on board a vessel.
- Communication with customers, agents, head office and the terminal.
You will be reporting directly to the Supervisor CS Shortsea.
**Profile**
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the maritime sector is a requirement.
- Background in a similar position or in shortsea/multimodal transport is a plus.
- Knowledge of incoterms, IMDG and all kinds of customs and practices in the maritime sector.
- Customer-oriented.
- Eye for detail.
- Digital enthusiast/open to working paperless.
- Excellent communication skills; both by phone and in writing.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages both verbally and in writing.
