**DESCRIPTION**

In order to support the company in its BI transformation, AXA Belgium's Data Office is currently seeking to recruit a BI Analyst.

The BI Transformation team is part of AXA's Data Office. The team conducts BI initiatives which cover anything from defining and implementing BI governance at AXA and lays on training courses on good practices in the areas of reporting, data modelling and performance management.

As a** **BI Analyst, you will be joining the BI Transformation team.

In close collaboration with the internal BI clients and the BI developers (Azure Analysis Services, SQL), the functional data analysts and the data engineers;
- You will head up reporting projects;
- You will act in support of one or several reporting projects with particular attention going out to the analysis and communication of priorities, risks, problems, agendas & results.
- You will conduct interviews with the internal clients (senior and middle management teams) in order to determine how best to translate AXA's strategy into pertinent indicators and you are unafraid to challenge these indicators.
- You will translate these indicators into functional formulas that are understandable to a BI developer
- You will ensure these formulas are accepted across the board by the various stakeholders you deal with as part of any given project
- You communicate on a regular basis with the business sponsor and all stakeholders involved in the projects. You will provide frequent feedback, updates and presentations.
- You will work to help define and implement the transformation towards BI governance.
- Initially, you will assist with establishing the definition of BI governance at AXA and consider its practical implementation along with the team.
- You will head up training sessions for the BI developers and functional analysts on the good practices to be observed in the area of data modelling for reporting purposes whilst ensuring the models which are cross-organisational at AXA are reused.
- You will head up training sessions for the performance managers on the good practices to be observed for needs analyses and on the definition of ‘SMART’ indicators.
- You will take part in brainstorming efforts on the establishment of a reporting glossary and the development of the data glossary, which you will ensure are duly adopted by the business.

For the BI projects for which you are are responsible, you will need to ensure the on-time and on-budget delivery of the visuals which must be smart and pertinent, allowing their users to swiftly and fully understand their situation as part of the business strategy they are looking to put in place.

You will participate in AXA's upscaled maturity in the areas of data modelling and BI.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Your profile**:

- Ideally, you hold a Master's degree (in a figures-based field of study) with at least 2 years' experience as a business or functional analyst and have a distinct interest in data management in a business environment
- It is vital that you have the relevant technical know-how to enable you to extract, handle and present data (SQL, PowerBI, Azure Analysis Services, Excel, PowerApps, other)
- You also have a due understanding of data modelling standards (dimensional modelling, _data warehousing_, _data marts_)
- Language skills: you have basic knowledge of English, French and Dutch
- Essential skills:

- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
- Negotiating skills and able to persuade your stakeholders
- Useful skills:

- Clear and efficient communication skills
- Able to efficiently interact with the BI developers
- Able to conduct interviews and to constructively argue a point of view
- Analytical and logical mindset, critical mindset; team spirit; eager to learn; meticulous with attention to detail; focused on data, quality and the client
- Interested in decision-making and data management technologies
