The Role*
The Senior Communications & Stakeholder Relations Lead is responsible for the integrated communication strategy and implementation at pan-European level, providing a broad range of communications advice and support to the EIT Digital Management and the organisation’s distributed staff. The Senior Communications & Stakeholder Relations Lead supports the EIT Digital Management with stakeholder relations with focus on EU institutional stakeholders and liaison with relevant counterparts at the EIT.
**Responsibilities**
- Define and build the long-term communication strategy to position EIT Digital with external stakeholders, strengthen the brand and support the organisation’s business goals;
- Facilitate the organisation’s thought leadership strategy to position EIT Digital as ‘Gateway to European Digital Innovation’;
- Develop and facilitate the organisation’s stakeholder relationship strategy with particular focus on the broader EU stakeholder sphere (including institutional and non-institutional stakeholders);
- Support strategic partnership and activity building with particular focus on communications and stakeholder outreach aspects;
- Act as liaison with relevant counterparts in the European Institute of Innovation & Technology EIT with particular focus on communications and EU Affairs, assuring compliance with EIT requirements;
- Act as main internal contact person for all communications & stakeholder relations aspects, providing support and guidance to EIT Digital staff and coordination within the communications function, ensuring coherence and consistency in external messaging and presentation of the EIT Digital brand;
- Coordinate communication strategy and activities with sales & marketing functions;
- In collaboration with EIT Digital management, facilitate internal communication activities;
- Focus on operation excellence and continuous improvement through Best-in-Class practices and benchmarks;
- Manage Corporate Communication and Public Relations budget and monitor coverage.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in corporate communication and stakeholder relations, preferably in an EU tech-based organisation;
- Proven track record of working with C-level executives in distributed matrix organisations;
- Strong communication background with proven high standard of written skills, presentation skills and storytelling;
- Autonomous and proactive, as well as a natural team player.
**Languages**
Excellent command of English is required. Knowledge of other EU languages is considered an asset.

**Place of employment**
EIT Digital office in Brussels. Other places of employment can be negotiated. Willingness to travel on a regular basis throughout EU locations.
